Kuukua and Chris had been married through a ceremony arranged by their families, though she was in love with someone else. She would have loved to end up with Kwame, but she knew she couldn't bring shame upon her family. But after finding out that Kwame was cheating on her, she lashed out by agreeing to the union, and she tried to quickly adjusted to her new life to get over Kwame.
