General Admission is a gritty, multi-perspective 1970s rock-and-crime story set against the smoke-filled, dangerous, and electric world of live arena concerts. Set in 1975, the story opens in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where six teenage fans pile into a faded 1970 Chevy Impala and head downtown for a general-admission concert by a rising, unnamed rock band. The band is trapped inside a machine that sells rebellion while feeding off everyone around it: the fans, the crew, the musicians, the women backstage, the local promoters, and even the cities themselves. As the tour moves from one venue to the next, the story shifts between multiple points of view - teenage fans, exhausted performers, cynical handlers, desperate criminals, and workers who understand that the show must go on no matter who gets hurt. Part homage to the lost era of 1970s live music and part crime saga, General Admission explores what happens when youthful freedom, corporate exploitation, organized crime, and rock-and-roll mythology collide. The poem tells the tale of the trail of worries the poet has - about the future, life, marriage, career, etc. Then, god tells him about his absolute teaching, about the fruits, actions, and concerns. He later thinks about the answer in science, whether what his faith says is correct or not. Science has a term which the poet understands. The poem is a story of how the poet's mind goes from worrying to surrendering to god.

I got there with my friend, Jarrod. I had never been to a concert before. When I walked in I expected it to be louder but it was still loud. We had missed the first support act because of traffic, which was no worry because Jarrod and I weren't fans of them. A band known as Stray From The Path was on stage when we walked in. Their set had just started. Jarrod and I watched as we waited for the main band to come on. After Stray From The Path the band Issues came on stage. We didn't really watch them and went to check out the merchandise, which I regret now because months later I actually fell in love with their music.
