You know how weird and dorky band kids are. This is a log of my experiences as a Trumpet player in middle school's band. (Thank you to Whovianforlife222 for giving me the idea. Make sure to read her band stories too!) I will start a new one of these when I go to High School. (I'm sure it'll be even MORE dorky!!)

Albert De Luna has moved to a new city the summer before sophomore year, and attends a brand new high school come September. He struggles to find people to connect with, having to cope with the loss of both his mother and his love for art. Yet Albert still forces himself to sculpt, to sketch, to paint-anything to distract from the fact he's lost everything he's ever known. Acrylic, oil, and varnish streak across canvas after canvas, the rough paint strokes outlining his pain and frustration. His secret is kept until Matthew, his section partner in band, stumbles into Albert's disintegrating worldview and sees more of Albert than the cold front he hides under. Albert just has to learn to let someone else in, and let them join him in the night sky.

Delaney Moncada is dedicated, dedicated to her life, band, her friends. that was all until last summer when her father passed away in a very tragic accident. After it all, she lost her hopes, dreams and all of her spirits. Del shut everyone out, and is now venturing for her own life on her own without anyone, but when cocky and callous Kameron Stone moved to SpringCity High, everything seemed to change.
