Throughout Gwen's 17 years on Earth her father has had a plethora of girlfriends. But what happens when her dad finally finds "The One"? "I'm sorry son but you're still one dollar short" the man explained. I looked down at the money still in my hand, exactly 1 dollar. Without even taking a glance at the student I leaned over the dividing metal rail. "Hi, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I have an extra dollar he can pay with, it's fine..."

It's all about attitude. That's what I tell myself. Life is just a big game and you are trying to play the hand you are dealt. Things just happen, I don't believe they happen for a reason. You have to find some sort of meaning or understanding from the situation, and sometimes there isn't any meaning. Ironically I am glass full kind of person, not half full, or one of those over positive people, just full. Even though I was orphaned by 23, watched my mother die of cancer, found my father dead after a heart attack, I was able to take the life lessons my parents instilled in me and made my own destinations, or so I thought. Life doesn’t have to teach you anything. It does not owe us anything. All you have to do is look out in the natural and unnatural world to see that for yourself. Try to understand what happened, learn from it and apply it to the time you have left. To the Readers: I am loading up the first third of my book. The Freak Circus is a most want to see attraction. People all over the world come to see the impossible. Such as a girl that can bend herself in half, a man with no face, two people in one body, a skeleton ringmaster, and many more intriguing Freaks. Raimond is a member of the Freaks. She's a young illusionist who's been with the circus her whole life. She never knew much about the outside world due to the number one rule of not leaving the circus' ground. She's was told it's like putting steak into a lions' den. They would want to tear her apart to satisfy themselves. The only way to stay safe is to stay in the circus. When a normal boy named Heath is hired into the circus she thinks of him as the other blood thirsty humans. But when Heath tells her what's really out there, she grows an interest to discover. Will her interest take her too far where she disobeys the rules and leaves the grounds?
