LookItIsNotMe
Beatrice "Bea" Plummett, a recent graduate armed with an art history degree and the crippling fear that she peaked in high school debate competitions, finds herself employed not as a curator, but as a "donut artisan" at "Glazed & Confused," a gastronomically ambitious but fatally mismanaged boutique donut shop in a rapidly gentrifying district of a decidedly ungentrified city.
Her life is already a masterpiece of controlled chaos: haunted by well-meaning but spectacularly inept parents who send care packages of taxidermied squirrels, tormented by the creeping suspicion that her meticulously planned future is collapsing faster than a poorly iced Boston Cream, and perpetually over-analyzing the existential dread of choosing between sprinkles or glaze. Things take a turn beyond the bizarre when Barnaby Chumley, the eccentric (and possibly insane) owner of Glazed & Confused, informs the staff that the shop is cursed.
