LIKELY SLOW UPDATES On April 12, 1861, civil war broke out in the United States. Each side fought for the cause they believed in, but only one could come out victorious in the end. It remains the bloodiest conflict in American history. *I only own my characters, which you'll meet as the story goes on.* [No set day, more random uploads] (I am not sure specifically where the cover image is from, I found it on Pinterest, but it is a painting of a Civil War battle.)

It's July 3rd, 1863 and Union and Confederate forces are gathered at the small town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. On one side, in the Army of Northern Virginia, a Sergeant Thomas Sykes stands in apprehension, awaiting to march across an open field into the oncoming fire of the Yankees. As Thomas stands waiting, he has no idea that he is about to meet his best friend in battle and because of that meeting, his life will change forever. On the other side, in the Army of the Potomac, a Private Clyde Smith sat in awaiting tension, confused about how the Rebels were about to attack. But as Clyde waited, he had no way of knowing that he was about to meet his best friend in battle and that meeting will change his life forever, but in a very different way. To David's dismay, he must make a decision. Should he stay and help Anna with her underhanded plan, deceiving everyone around him by pretending to be a Yankee? If discovered, he would be considered a traitor to the cause, and she could be in jeopardy of treason. Or should he leave the farm, say goodbye to her, and risk certain capture? Either way, his perilous situation doesn't seem to offer an encouraging outcome. If that isn't bad enough, Anna's neighbor, a Union officer, is in love with her, too, and he would stop at nothing to have David arrested ... or worse.

This is not my usual Percy Jackson fanfiction. In fact, this is not a Percy Jackson fanfiction. This is not even a Harry Potter fanfiction. This is my first ever Hetalia fanfiction.
