While I'm quite chatty and open about my feelings and problems with people very close to me, my sister is the opposite. After being so close growing up, now that she's moved away for uni I feel I worry about her more now as she tends to be very independent and keep her problems and feeling to herself. This is about that worry, and for all the worry people feel about loved ones who tend to keep things bottled up.

Curiosity can be a cruel thing. Wet, is the story of any one who has ever been told to do something. Anything. Julia and Miranda were given one rule and with good reason. It is also the story of every parent who tries to shelter their child, Cynthia realizes that shielding does not always mean protecting and that sometimes you need to trust the ones who trust you. ---Excerpt-- "Nothing, but she really wanted to go. I mean, I think she might sneak away too." Miranda explained. "You know how that ended up for you Randy, moreover Jules is not like you." Cynthia's words hurt Miranda in more ways than she could fathom. What was that supposed to mean, she held back her tears and tried to go on. "I know, but" Cynthia put a hand on Mirandas shoulder. "Its alright, you should go to sleep now. Its late, thanks for being home with her today." Miranda began to go but she stopped, without turning back she spoke, her voice shaking, "Mom, I wish you would have taken me." A single tear dropped from her eye and she walked back to her room calming herself before going in. cover Image and images within not by me

Sometimes, even when we think we're being a good friend, sister, shoulder to cry on, to those who need us most, those close to us, we're not. We're not really listening. We've not truly opened our ears. Occasionally we need to stop finishing our relative or friend's sentences, stop impatiently filling in their blanks, interrupting and jumping to conclusions and really take on board what they're saying, what they're suffering to truly be a good confidant.

In every group of people there seems to be that one person whom everyone trust with their secrets and goes to for advice, values their guidance and their listening ear, but are all those other people ever a shoulder to cry on, or friend to lean on for that trusted person when they need it the most? Being a non-judgmental confidant should always work two ways, this one's about that message :)

What do you do when heaven and hell are fighting over you? Simple. You wreck your life further by joining a human high school. For Arabella life is not simple. With immortal parents who are sworn nemesis and an extended, not to mention much unwanted, family of heaven and hell Arabella's existence is not exactly the average teen life. If you're the impossible balance of good and evil who would you be? What if all your life you've been struggling to appease both your parents who are of two different races? What if being a good daughter entails shifting personalities to an extent that you start considering yourself bipolar? Switching from saint to villain is not easy and quite frankly exhausting. But when your family thinks your more human than anything else your angelic mother finally comes up with the ridiculously insane idea of joining human society most importantly purgatory on Earth- High school. Question is who will Arabella be now? Would she wear her Halo or sprout Horns...
