There is a place far away with no rules and no expectations, a place so free that no one cares at all. This is not that place. This is town 2790, this town has 57 families each family has 2 kids, the first, born at least 2 years older than the second. Every child in this town is to be a doctor, news person, or teacher, But these 3 kids refuse to conform

A collection of short poems.

I walked in fear among the others. One arm up, one arm down. Everything they did I would do. A chameleon and I would be one, with conformity as our expertise. Suddenly, gun shots were heard from above. The sky looked as if it were raining bullets. I briskly whipped out my τσέπη shovel, and dug a hole in the ground, for I had prepared for this moment for months. As I hopped into the 8 foot hole I had dug, I watched in horror as those I once walked parallel with were jerked around, with two or more bullets penetrating their skin. Soon enough, the bullets stopped. As I climbed up from the cavity in the ground, all around me were dead besides a man who was about 10 feet away from me. As I began to approach him, I noticed that he was in hysterics. He looked at me with barren eyes before he crumpled into a ball, withering away like the others. This is what happens when you defy society, you end up alone.

This story is about how growing up your suposed to find your true self and where you are suposed to be in life, but am i wrong to have had truble with that? Am I the only one or am I surounded by people and there hard dessisions in life to conform to social norms or hide who they truly are. This is based on my actual life, but the charaters have different names to hide there identity

Society messes with you in more than one way: Telling you to change yourself into someone you aren't just to fit specific fixed and stereotypical molds only because those who fit them seem higher or even superior, and as human nature, we desire that more than anything. Or even put subconscious doubts of our own self-worth based on others around us, telling us to conform into certain ideas in attempts to temporarily remedy this. Seventeen-year-old Jeong Yunho was no different: He just wanted to fit in. Yunho was one of his school's hockey jocks, and because of his jock status, he was obviously very high in the local social ladder. Being a jock had a strong stereotype that many people were aware of: Strong, Muscular, Sporty, Mean, Tough, Leader-like, Straight. Yunho pretty much fit the bill. Except for the last one. Everyone is broken, but some are able to fix themselves. The rest are doomed, to repeat the same repairs again and again.
