Launa Verdi was a foster child. Her parents left her on her own back when she was five, completely alone and defenseless. Now though, she's defiant and fiery. Her partner in crime, Paige, had been in the foster program since she was even younger then Launa. They met in Launa's first foster home in New York, and continued to be in the same foster homes. On their first night in yet again another foster home, they are chased by a fellow named Riley, who also introduces Launa to a so called sociopath named Aaron. But is Aaron really heartless and feelingless as the school and others accuse him to be? Launa isn't sure and is scared to find out, only because he is quickly unraveling all of her secrets at a rapid rate and Launa's falling hard for the accused sociopath--how is she ever going to get off this rollercoaster?
