Rejecting her programming for fast bonding, she only wants Alice in her life, and she allows in one friend. North. Everyone else will remain neutral. Even if the risk is a reset because her stress steadily increases day by day. Neutral. Jericho should be safer, except for Markus' achilles heel: No violence against humans. After bonding with Alice, Connor sees and accepts his purpose. To help protect the growing start of Jericho. He convinces Markus to let him have some control when humans become a threat, but Markus is weary and won't give much. Meanwhile, the humans are starting to use them for sport, and his roommate Kara's stress is getting dangerously higher.

Connor, the RK800 prototype, was designed for one purpose: to successfully hunt down deviants. But, once Kara and Alice enter the picture, Amanda begins to question Connor's deviancy and gives him an ultimatum. In order to save the two from being decommissioned, he must do CyberLife one last favor.

When Connor met eyes with the female deviant across the fence, he had felt a great disturbance by what he saw. The female deviant had eyes that spoke volumes of pain and still left much unsaid. He had never seen an android look so . . . human. But he was far more disturbed about why he kept remembering that one particular deviant over and over again even after she was long gone. With humans no longer able to access Detroit, Connor finds himself in a new world, but with the same problems no one wants to face. And life only gets stranger when the AX 400 and YK 500 that should have been decommissioned months ago show up in New Detroit. Making up for what he did as a machine, he tries to teach them the ways of New Detroit to save them, before they have to become his victims again.

Connor has some strange options and video feed stuck in his storage memory. Over time, it only gets stronger and so is his instinct to investigate it. Every person he meets, and every turn he takes, leads to dead ends. When he tries some of his new menu options though, he'll find himself not only becoming deviant, but a player in a deadly game of cat and mouse that will determine the androids fate forever. Having escaped Todd for several days, Kara is caught with Alice for being a disguised human. It doesn't take long before she is recognized, but a deal is struck with a strange android and human to end back up there. When events occur similarly as before though, this time she awakens to a deviant Connor who's been investigating the past she didn't remember. With plans to make a better future. (Connor/Kara)
