~~It all started with a death of a lover which ends in pools of secrets and lies~~

Blake, a cold, no-bullshit taken, FBI agent from New York, comes back to the city she grew up in to solve a string of murders a year after the civil war. When her superiors pair her up with the dynamic duo of Hank Anderson and Connor, she becomes even more resentful. No one knows who (or what) is murdering people in cold blood. There is no correlation between the poor victims, all coming from different backgrounds, ages, and professions. That wasn't going to stop Blake though, she knew that she was born to solve this case. Even if it meant stepping on other detective's toes.

"Running diagnostics. . .Systems all up and ready to go. No misplacements or reconstruction needed. Model RK800, serial #313 248 317 at your service." His voice came exactly as you wanted, calm and soothing. Perfect for a negotiator. You were suspended in disbelief. "It, it worked. . . hi." "Scanning. . . Dr.(Y/N), creator assisted by a sliver of blueprints that were left by Dr. Kamski in your care at the time of his retirement. Hello, what do you need Model RK800 prototype #1 to do for you?" Perhaps a little cold and detached too, but what did you expect? You smiled gently, fiddling with the coin in your hand. "That's not necessary. . .and that model number doesn't really roll off the tongue. I shall name you." "Very well, although I would like to remind you that I am a prototype and that I am not a living being that is needed to be called by something. Ready to accept name." "Reminder accepted. . . Connor." "Hello, Dr. (Y/N). My name is Connor." You took his hand for a shake, him quickly reciprocating it once he realized it was a socially accepted action used by humans for greetings. Your eyes twinkled, making sure he took the coin even though he was about to question it. "Hi Connor. Connor is tasked with hunting down sentient androids with the help of GV400, also known as Gavin. [PLEASE NOTE!: This is essentially a retelling of Connor's story in D:BH, with a lot of changes that best fit the Role Reversal AU. Also, I had to shorten the original title (underneath the skin, there's a human; buried deep within, there's a human; and despite everything, I'm still human.) because the whole thing wouldn't fit.] [Cross-Posted on AO3]

Here are a collection of oneshots that I am gonna write for Detroit Become Human, these will be slow as I am on a writing can't-be-assed mood atm, I have ideas though. But request some if you want :)

Events take place a little over a year after Android Freedom March. They obtain equal rights & slowly become part of society. Connor still works at DPD alongside Hank, Gavin, Jeffrey, and many other police officers. Life isn't easy moreover when you're not really human and try so hard to be one. (I suck at this, fic is about love, friendship, Hankcon as lovers, suffering, drugs..)

-COVER COMING SOON- !!SET AFTER THE BEST ENDING!! Androids were now viewed as equals to humans, many still carrying out the duties they were employed for out of choice and no longer obligation. And after an unfortunate event involving a well known director's daughter Connor is tasked with protecting her, leading to some rather unexpected events, including the appearance of a demon Connor has yet to face. (Also heck I named this after one of my favourite Skylar Spence songs which I will link in the story :D)
