Conran Stories

This poem is based on a evening walk I had along the beach when I was desperate to get away from company. The first two images I've used are fairly standard - the moon as a woman asleep and the sea as a herd of horses (Celtic) but the third image could possibly be totally original. In any case it suits what I was trying to say :)

[Extract:] It was an emotional case. Unfortunately, for all of them. Conan knew it, he honestly could feel it when Ran's heart got crushed. It was the moment when the girl broke down in front of everyone, crying helplessly about her fiancée never being there for her. Never answering her calls, never attending any parties or family celebrations. It was like he wasn't here. Except... Unless the man Shinichi literally was never here. He was like a ghost in Ran's life, winking in and out of existence like a light shut on and off. He was right by her side though she never noticed.
