Studying in a top medical college in Pune and trying hard to explore her creative dreams, Rajshree Chauhan is busy enough with her life to be suddenly thrown into an overwhelming predicament when her family adamantly requests she gets married at just 23 years of age.
Neither is her education complete, neither are her dreams achieved - instantly, this starts suffocating her little by little, until other odd things come to light and she realizes that her conservative family has agreed to marry her off to a person from another state and caste than she is.
She wouldn't have cared less about it otherwise, but now, she feels overwhelmed by the amount of change in culture and traditional habits she would have to see beside sacrificing her identity into the marriage, because of course, that is how it has always in.
The dread continues until Rajshree actually familiarizes herself with her fiancé, Karthik Bhosle, a man who would not care less about whether she pursued a hectic career after marriage or not.
Rajshree initially finds this to be a boon, but alas, Karthik's is not the only opinion deciding her course of life after a marriage, especially when he himself is as indifferent.
The marriage that was to be immediate gets delayed for a short while, however. In this little time, Rajshree comes to realize clearer what exact horror her life heads towards.
