Akiko's almond-shaped eyes, with a glint of mystery, met Kaito's for a fleeting moment. This is about a man on a beach watching a woman. Something isn't right. As time passes and it gets darker, so does the man's intentions. Is this love?

Annabel started out as a comment on another poet's work, and that poet suggest I post it; I did. Now, it has taken many forms and I thought it best to keep track of this evolution of a poem in one collection, I hope you enjoy it.
