After the apocalypse, humanity began living within huge defensive strongholds to survive. New Aetherra is the only empire-sized city in the east surrounded by sturdy walls and covered by human-made atmospheric barrier. It was built and is governed under three bodies-the Government, the Novu Babel, and the Hunter Force-soldiers trained for battle against unknown creatures outside the city. Ian Velen, a troublesome weak Beta, was hated by the people around him including his own family. He only desired to go outside the city despite the dangers. His Alpha brothers loathed him thinking that he was the product of their mother's sin, and his father couldn't imagine him as his own. Despite his weak physique, he managed to become a Hunter and even had the nerve to confess and propose a marriage to his crush, Axel Krestel, the commander of an independent elite division, in front of so many people. The commander's disgust was obvious, and Ian had an idea that his actions stemmed from his crazy desperation to escape the city. He knew his background had more to it than what was seen outside. Taking an unknown drug on schedule to stabilize this unknown hunger to escape the city was just one part of it. But then an incident occurred. He missed his scheduled dose. His mother warned him that his life would be in danger.

Le monde devenait désert et glacial. Tous mourus par ordre d'arrivée, malgré les saisons elle était toujours présente parmi nous et touchait jusqu'au dernier être vivant. C'était cruel. Les morts constatées par jour étaient atroces et alarmantes. De nombreux peuples mourraient, certains bien plus que d'autres. Ils mourraient sans pitié dans leur souffrance continuelle, en espérant d'être sauvés avant que le dieu de la mort efface leur nom du cahier des vivants. Mais hélas ! tous étaient conscients de quitter ce monde pour découvrir un autre monde merveilleux et magique que nul ne connaît sauf les morts.

We've all heard what people have to say about global contamination: it's not a real problem, production just can't stop, money make the world go round. Alright, fair enough. True, sudden changes would bring sudden consequences not many will be fond of. Consequences.. have you heard of such word? Do you know what it means? By the looks of what we're doing to the planet, I don't think we know it's meaning. Well, let the flowing character enlighten you some. If we're so determined to destroy the now and the future, we could at least hear out what he has to say.
