What if every mythology you've ever read was real?
The gods never left. They just got forgotten by the majority.
When a notification appeared on Marco's phone from an app that doesn't exist, he does what any reasonable person would do: ignores it, goes home, makes dinner, and builds a list of explanations that works.
None of them works.
Now he's standing in Intramuros at midnight being told he's a proxy in a cosmic System that has been governing reality since before history; drafted by a faction that dissolved six hundred years ago, with a file on him going back three thousand years, and every divine power on the planet was suddenly very interested in him.
Nobody knows why the System allowed it. The gods are running on politics and desperation for nearly a millennia, the reset countdown is active. And somewhere behind all of it, someone used a dead faction's credentials to put Marco in this position deliberately.
They've been waiting three thousand years for him to get here.
