A short story expressed in a poem.

This poem is something I wrote a few months ago while I was struggling a bit with my identity.

What goes on the mind of a dark randomized soul who thinks she is a psychologist and has hidden wings?

What is it about death that fascinates us so much? The thought of death and the afterlife had been on my mind for days, so as soon as I had some time on my hands, I decided to take a deeper look at the subject. Humanity has sought answers for these questions-and others-since the time of the ancient Greeks and Hebrews. Is it possible to "survive" death? Are we going to recognize ourselves? Will we get to see the people we have left behind or the people who have gone before us? Will our actions in this life be rewarded or punished? What happens when we die or when history finally ends? What will be our destination? ******* Roman Othello had a peculiar obsession with death. What happens after death? Is there an afterlife? He isn't sure but he sure as hell is gonna find out.

Rosaline’s soul is like smoke. It is not easily contained and those set to the task of capturing it choke. However, someone always succeeds. Rosaline awakens in purgatory and by her luck happens to stumble upon the fallen angel and previous Percussor, Cruor, who was set to the task of capturing her soul before his descent. Upon her discovery of him, Cruor is in Rosaline’s debt. Together the two unlikely companions must travel immeasurable distances and cross bottomless voids to return Rosaline to the home Cruor had fought to snatch her from.

Five teens all discover they have powers. But they come to realise these powers aren't exactly what they had hoped for. Will they be able to over come there fears and learn to use their powers or will fear be the death of them.

Christmas/seasonal themed poem series - they vary from humorous to gloomy, haiku's to sonnets, religious to trivial, yet all are short and most have somewhat of a twist. Written in lower case as I was taught by a poetry tutor (alledgedly, this is how it's suppose to be?). Enjoy people; let me know what you think. xxx
