Some people go through their lives like robots, never questioning anything that falls in their path. This is a short story of a robot, fighting to be able to criticize and think for herself, while trying to earn gender equality. This was for an English assignment, and granted it will be submitted before many people see it, comments and feedback are greatly appreciated. Antithesis (Greek for "setting opposite", from ἀντί "against" + θέσις "position") is used in writing or speech either as a proposition that contrasts with or reverses some previously mentioned proposition, or when two opposites are introduced together for contrasting effect. ..... My Poetry. ..... I don't think there's a need for this, because everyone who read my works till now have been amazing. In a way it's like a wave. It washes over you, not enough to drown you, but for a moment you feel like you're drowning as you helplessly heave for air and there's nothing to breathe in. Salty water is all there is. Salty water that you gulp down because there's nothing else and it makes you feel sick. The water isn't clear and beautiful like Sally told you it would be, but ice cold, murky and polluted. It envelopes you and you lose track of which way is up. It feels like drowning, but then you finally catch a breath and you don't drown after all. You feel your head aching and your stomach twisting from all the murky water you swallowed, but you are breathing still.

A collection of my haiku that pulls from both my cultures, that of the Arabian beduins and that of the American West. All of the haiku are my original work. I fell in love with the art form after researching about it for a competition I was planning to host. Endless meaning in so few words is one of the reasons I love poetry, and haiku felt like coming home. In sha Allah (God willing in Arabic) you enjoy and are touched by my glimpses into life and reflections of where I am from.

This is just a book really about my 2 a.m thoughts. How I view life and what makes me who I am. A piece of mature advice you can say as well. I promise it'll be worth your time. Plus will give you wider perception about life and what surrounds it.
