As he took his final step towards me I knew it was over. I looked in his eyes and I saw nothing. Not sadness, not love, not even hate. Just a blank circle of ocean-like colour staring back at me. "You are nothing" he whispered in my ear. Was I meant to be upset? A smirk crawled onto my face as I replied "I never was in the first place. You just wanted to believe I was." _____ Set in old fashioned times where men control women, but what if Aspen wants that to change?
