L'histoire raconte la vie de Mohamed, un garçon né à Mayotte avec des problèmes de santé dont la cause était inconnue. Les médecins avaient initialement annoncé à sa mère qu'il ne vivrait que quelques jours, mais elle a refusé d'abandonner son fils et a fait tout ce qu'elle pouvait pour le sauver. Mohamed a été envoyé en France métropolitaine pour obtenir un traitement médical, mais cela l'a éloigné de sa famille et de sa mère. Il a été placé en dialyse pendant plus de deux ans et a finalement été transféré dans un autre hôpital où il a rencontré des amis et une infirmière qui est devenue comme une deuxième mère pour lui. Mohamed a finalement reçu une greffe de rein qui lui a permis de reprendre une vie plus normale, mais il a toujours ressenti un vide en ne voyant pas sa mère depuis longtemps. Il a finalement été en mesure de la retrouver et de reprendre contact avec sa famille. L'histoire est un témoignage de courage et de persévérance, de la force de la famille et de l'amitié, et de la capacité de surmonter les obstacles pour atteindre les objectifs
