John Egbert has been put in Alternia Prison, after being wrongfully accused of murdering his sister Jade. He is a cellmate with the one and only Dave Strider, also known as "Demon Kid" for his blood red eyes. He later sees that some people from his childhood are also in here, along with his uncle, Jake "Sugar" English.

Karkat Vantas isn't the type to be easily spooked, but when he is charged with possession of illegal substances, he learns that some things are scarier than they seem.

Dave and Dirk live a semi normal life. That is until they have a run in with the 2 most wanted criminals out there. What will the brothers do with the dorky but dangerous jake and john.

john gets framed for 5 murders and sent to jail for life. his cousin jake is there for 27 years. john is an innocent boy who makes quick friends with the guards but not the prisoners. john extremely hates anything to do with crime. he gets a new cell mate who turns out to be his worst nightmare in a human body? (ps jake will be really sassy to dirk most of the time)
