Finding things hard to fit in Cooke seeks acceptance through Nany, at first Nany hates Cooke, not because she's a bitch or sticking up for her girls in the house, but because she is replacing Adam, Nany's lover in the house, but as time goes on Nany begins to realise Cooke isn't how the other girls perceive her to be letting her get closer than she's let any one before.

Chandler Cooke is from the small town of Whiteville, Tn. She was raised on her family's farm and can grow, raise and hunt anything she could ever want. She can drive tractors, trucks and big rigs, and run with the boys. Could her southern roots and down-home country ways be her saving grace in this hellacious apocalypse? August 10th, 1998 was part of the longest drought in the towns history, until the night Chandler Cooke was born. Her parents rejoiced because not only did the rain save the family farm, but it brought with it the most precious thing they could ever hope for, a baby girl. Over the years Chandler grew in age, beauty and wit, always learning the ways of farming and such, and every year on her birthday it would rain and end the yearly dry spell. In high school she joined the wrestling team, and even took karate classes on the weekend and earned a black belt by her senior year. She took shooting courses in summer camp, not that she needed them since she had been hunting since she was seven, and she was the best every year. She could nail a target dead center with her bow and take her rifle and split an arrow right down the middle every time. So it's no surprise that when the zombies showed up she could take them down with no problem. After a while she forms a group of friends who become family in her eyes, but danger lurks around every corner, and the dead ones are not the only fear in this new twisted world. They will face sickness, famine, droughts, hordes, separation, and even other humans. This is just a small peak inside "The Chandler Cooke Series." Who will she meet? Who will die? Who will survive?
