In a world divided among twelve mysterious realms, the gods hold absolute power over creation-and those who serve them are expected to obey without question. In one of these realms lives a humble citizen gifted with the ability to create living creatures destined to inhabit Earth. But during one fateful ceremony, he attempts something he has never done before: creating children of his own. The creation goes terribly wrong. Instead of one child, the unstable life force splits into two, creating a pair of twins unlike anything the realm has ever seen. To the gods, their existence is unnatural. To their creator, they are his children. The twins are branded as curses, and the God of the realm orders their deaths. Desperate to protect the children he brought into existence, their creator begs the gods to spare them. But his pleas fall on deaf ears. Rather than abandon his children, he chooses them. For defying the gods, he is banished from his realm alongside the twins. Cast out into an unfamiliar world, the three must survive with nothing but each other. But as the years pass, the creator's love for his children begins to intertwine with a growing hatred for the realm that rejected them. And one day, he may return. Not as the obedient citizen he once was-but as a father who has everything to lose, and nothing left to forgive.
