Eventually, his lack of sleep comes to a head while in the Barton residence, where he was welcomed in with warmth he wasn't used to. He's bonding with children he never met and getting closer with his teamates. Shasta was rescued by the Barton family from a kill pen when she was 8. Young Cooper was the only person she let near at the time. The two have a special bond. Now, she is Cooper's personal horse. The chestnut Belgian was a major help around the farm, helping plow the fields and collect wood along with teaching Cooper's younger siblings, Lila and Nathaniel, how to ride and care for a horse. It has been 10 years since Clint left to join the Avengers. Now, Shasta and Cooper are both 30. Cooper is married and has two kids. They are making quite the splash in the show ring, stunning judges at how well the Belgian can compete in reining, cutting, ranch, trail, and gymkhana. Clint visited often but was on an important mission when Cooper married his now wife, Paisley. Paisley and Cooper's kids compete on Shasta and their other horses. Cooper and Paisley breed, train, show, and sell Quarter horses, Paints, drafts (mainly Belgians and Clydesdales), and Mustangs. Clint returns, bringing the rest of the Avengers with him.
