What happened during the 2 years gap between Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny? Kira has gone insane a month after the the battle of Yakin Due. While his friends were anxious and worried for him; they didn't have time to take care of the matters at hand, with the war threatening to restart and a country to rebuild. Reluctantly, they had had to put him in an asylum for the time being since he was hurting himself during his "episodes". They had hoped that he would heal soon and get better. However, the six months secluded in that white room did him no good. Why had he become that way? Were his genes finally reacting? Have the Ultimate Coordinator, as powerful as it sounds, finally reached his limit?

In 1657, Otto von Guericke pumped the air from two hemispheres and eight horses could not pull them apart. Amontons found a volume of air shrank as the temperature fell and realized that it would become zero. In 1774, Joseph Priestley isolated oxygen while Lavoisier released hydrogen and burned this with oxygen to make water. In 1832, Michael Faraday built the first electric motor and generator. John Newlands noticed similar chemical properties in a list of elements demonstrating the existence of unknown elements. Antonie van Leeuwenhoek invented a microscope with 300 times magnification allowing him to see bacteria, spermatozoa and red blood cells. In 1605, Kepler concluded that all the planets moved in elliptical orbits with the sun at one focus of the ellipse. Galileo reported that the orbital periods of Jupiter's moons permitted accurate determination of longitude on Earth. Newton and Leibniz independently invented calculus, used extensively in mathematics, science, engineering and economics. WHO THE HELL ARE WE? is a series of short books and videos describing the evolution of civilization. Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved health, education, and longevity. The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. It began when we learned to control fire, evolved articulate speech and stumbled onto the way to create infinite wealth; free trade. The discovery of agriculture made us richer but we also learned how to destroy wealth. Great civilization grew up but then disappeared leaving only incredible ruins and ideas. Later books detail some of the ideas and developments that increased the average life span from about 40 years to more than 80 and the average world income from less than $3 to more than $33 per person per day (and to $140 per day in some countries).

Joan is under the same roof as the famous astronomer Copernicus. She is interested in his studies and spurs a conversation about them.

Faith. Fate. Two words so full of potency, yet fraught with nuances touching on many of humanity's hopes and fears. Forty-five hundred years ago humankind sprang outward from the surface of Earth to reach for the stars, no longer doomed to reside on a world rapidly overheating and running out of resources. Through the efforts of one unique woman, humanity was freed to spread out across the Milky Way, its future fundamentally set on a new course. A fresh vigour took hold as our forebearers surged out to grasp a broader destiny: to become more than what they were. Or so all believed. Yet it seems we cannot escape what we are, bound by natures that seal us to a fate which far too often promulgates only greed and ruthlessness and the primal urge to slake the need for revenge. Have we remained substantially no different than our ancestors? We are free in ways they never were, but our greater liberty seems only a chimera. Is the human spirit to be forever chained? Some among us were unwilling to accept that irreducible destiny. They sought for something better. The question essentially became: what would it take to bring out the best in each human being? A wider, more encompassing vision? A mass movement? How would it be led? By whom? The answer was surprising. And it came remarkably in a similar fashion to how humanity first reached for the stars. By two prodigious teenagers. Both from the world of Galileo, this boy and this girl could not have been more removed from each other: one born to privilege and wealth, the other to squalor and slavery. Yet each of their respective states arose from the same source. It propelled them to what they ultimately achieved, yet worked to oppose them. For an evil has existed on Galileo for millennia, festering, hidden from the majority of its population. In the midst its malignant intent, both faith and fate worked to bring these two together in the most inauspicious of ways. And by that means did they ascend and bring us with them.

Aries now meets Nick, a low-key 17 year old art hoe who enjoys staying up late and house parties, the two of them finds themselves looking for a meaning, of how the universe found itself and its center.
