Everyone in Downton Village knew the Grantham. Lord and Lady Grantham were a very noble couple with even finer children. Lord and Lady Grantham married a while back and many still wondered just how Lord Grantham convinced himself to marry Lady Grantham. Some wondered just when the beautiful young ladies would marry. For Lord and Lady Grantham had not one, not two, not three... but four girls! 4 of them. Oh yes, 4! Mary, Edith, Lydia and Sybil. All with their discerning quirks and personalities There was Mary the eldest who was snobbish and elegant then there was Edith the older of the twins who was second best to everything by Mary and Lydia the younger of the pair always clung to her older twin, and then the youngest one Sybil had causes, and she gets too invested in the idea than the reality on how it would work out. Was it a wonder why the Crawley family interested many as well as drew people to them??

Ruth Crawley is the youngest of the Crawleys, and the most different. Laurence Ellis Levinson, the son of Cora Crawleys younger brother Harry and his wife Marie, had a normal happy childhood with his parents in America, until the robbery that was. The spring of 1908 was a though time for the young boy, between losing his parents and his left eye and being sent to live with his Aunt and her family in England, life was bleak. But he smiled, he always smiled through it all no matter what. Even becoming friends with one of the servants, and maybe over the years they would become more than just friends, maybe.

World War One has now occured and Lady Emma Crawley must either sink or swim in this troubled, dark times. Since the Garden Party in 1914, Emma must face challenges that would either make her a strong woman or break her. I recommend reading the first book - Emma Crawley (Downton Abbey Season 1) before reading season Two of Emma Crawley.

In early spring 1928, Emily Atkinson is contacted by her distant male cousin, the one who inherited the Atkinson estate when her parents passed on. Now with her brother alive and well, the situation of inheritance has become more complicated and the cousin requests her to come home and settle everything. He proposes that Emily bring her entire adopted family over to Canada, staff included, for a vacation and to meet what remains of the Atkinson clan and spend time at the old homestead. While many are reluctant to take the trip, both Emily and Marius are pleased to be going home. An unexpected arrival of an acquaintance complicates their trip but the young girl even invites some old friends to visit Canada. However, everything seems too good to be true. The seemingly idyllic time comes to a sudden end one night as the group struggles to survive and unravel the secrets of their once happy vacation.
