Coraline Jones never planned on returning to the Pink Palace. But with her daughter Selina at her side, she finds herself back in the house she once knew as a child. It looks different now-fresh, modern, and far less unsettling than she remembers. Wybie is still there, older but familiar. Selina takes to him quickly. And a quiet black cat seems to follow them wherever they go. At first, everything feels ordinary. Until Coraline begins to realize that some things about the house feel strangely familiar... and some things feel like they were never there at all.

He ends up going to a school in Oregon and realises these dreams have been getting more and more frequent. Eggs Trubshaw has moved, with his girlfriend, Winnifred Portley-Rind, to Oregon. There, they attend a school together to learn about the rest of the world. When these characters are placed in the same class, what awaits them? When Wybie Lovat's grandmother dies, he's forced to move away from his best friend, Coraline Jones. Coraline is miserable without her friend. However, a week later, when the Woods family moves in to Wybie's old house, the emptiness Coraline felt without her friend is gone. But after a terrible accident involving some neighborhood bullies, everything changes. (Told from Cat's perspective. He's always watching them, after all.)

When a family death occurs, Elena must return to the town her mother grew up in. What was expected to be a simple trip ends in disarray. Elena's mother never spoke about her childhood, her parents, or why we never saw them. You could see that look in her eye whenever she accidentally mentioned the time before, but something was missing. Coraline never anticipated Elena becoming aware of her past, or that she might have to return. Coraline is a normal pre-teen that moved to Ashland, OR little did she know the other world that comes from behind a small door. (I do not own any of these characters) This is my first book so if it isn't the best, hopefully over time it will get better!
