Maeve Young was six when she lost her sister. She hadn't understood it then-only her mam's soft voice telling her that Caoimhe had joined the angels. Maeve waited for her to come back. She never did. As she grew, life moved around her like she wasn't quite part of it. Caoimhe had always been the bright one everyone looked to. And Lizzie-fiery, hurting, unpredictable-needed more care than anyone knew how to give. Attention was something Maeve learned to live without. Still, she loved Lizzie more fiercely than anything. Loved her in the quiet way someone does when they understand pain long before they should. Somewhere in the middle of all that noise and heartbreak, she met Tadhg Lynch. A boy only months older, with a temper you could trip over and a laugh that filled every corner of a room. Loud. Messy. Impossible to ignore. When they first met, they swore they'd be best friends forever. But forever is a long time. And love-real love-is louder and messier than any promise children can make. They grew up. They hurt each other. And everything they once swore to protect turned into something neither of them knew how to handle.

For six grueling years, Joey Lynch has existed on the jagged edge of survival, running on the fumes of hunger and the promise of a quiet, chemical oblivion. He is a boy built of scar tissue, a product of the flats where the only thing louder than the sirens is his father's violent hand. His only sanctuary is the second-story window at the rich end of town, guarded by Juliet Lovelace a girl with terrifyingly green eyes and a heart of reckless gold. She is his safety, his secret surgeon, and the only reason he hasn't let the darkness swallow him whole. In the daylight of 2005, they are a study in silence. Joey is the school's phantom, the "viper" who hides Juliet from his own toxic reputation. She plays the part of the shy rich girl, a fragile creature who hides behind her curls to escape the bullies. But in the humid darkness of her room, she knows him entirely. She has spent her adolescence cleaning his knuckles and wiping the blood from a face he keeps hidden from the world. She knows every shame and every desperate, frantic kiss he offers as a plea for mercy. Yet, her quiet love has become a self-made noose. To Joey, being loved by someone so pure is a terrifying weight. The sickening truth remains: the dirty thrill of the drugs is easier to face than the blinding clarity of her devotion. But before Joey can choose between the needle and the girl, the script is rewritten in blood. The terror strikes from within the Lovelace mansion when Juliet finds her sister cold and silent-a victim of the very corrosion she tried to keep Joey away from. Now, Juliet is a shattered ghost, and Joey realizes his salvation arrived too late. @luvrlu made this cover & all rights go to her.

Alexander Donnelly. My brother's best friend. The boy I'm supposed to keep my distance from. The one who knows exactly how to push my buttons, who grins when I snap, who somehow turns every sarcastic remark into a dare I can't quite resist. I've sworn I'll stay away. I've sworn I won't let him get under my skin. But the more I try to fight it, the more I notice the little things: the way his laugh softens when he thinks no one's watching, the way his eyes linger a second too long, the way he always seems to be there when I need him the most. We've been friends for years, but somewhere beneath the teasing and the arguments, something else is stirring. And it's getting harder to deny that what started as friendship might be heading somewhere dangerously close to... love. Alexander Donnelly Brielle Crosiar. My best friend's baby sister. The girl I've known since she was little, the one I used to tease endlessly, the one I've always protected without letting her know it. I'm supposed to stay away now-respect boundaries, pretend she's still the kid I grew up with. But I can't. Every time she storms into a room with that fire in her eyes, every sarcastic jab, every glare that makes my chest tighten-it pulls me in. I try to act like nothing's changed, but I feel it: the spark between us, quiet but insistent, the shift from childhood friends to something more. She thinks I don't notice. But I do. And I'm not sure I can ever go back to pretending I feel nothing at all.

In the small town of Carrigmore, where everyone knows each other and the days are spent between school, hurling matches, and quiet evenings at home, Conor Flynn and Fiadh O'Donovan have always been just two familiar faces in the crowd. Growing up together, they've shared classrooms, the local GAA pitch, and unspoken moments of connection, but never the courage to acknowledge what lies beneath their friendship. Fiadh has always been quiet, the girl who loves music and dreams of becoming a doctor, but never feels quite good enough to make it happen. Her world is turned upside down when her mam passes away from cancer, leaving Fiadh to navigate grief, self-doubt, and the weight of expectations. As her father's law business continues to thrive, the pressure to follow in her mam's footsteps and make something of herself grows stronger. But with every step she takes forward, she feels more lost. Conor, a minor Cork hurler with dreams of playing for the senior team, carries the burden of being everything everyone expects him to be. He's the star athlete, the dependable friend, but beneath it all, Conor wonders who he really is when he's not the version others want him to be. He's always admired Fiadh from afar, but with her life in upheaval, he's unsure if it's the right time to tell her how he feels. In a town where nothing stays secret for long, and where small-town dreams sometimes feel too big to achieve, Fiadh and Conor must face their own fears, their shared history, and the growing feelings between them that they've long ignored. But as they try to navigate their way through love, loss, and self-discovery, they will both learn that the most important thing is to never change who you are for anyone-no matter how much you think you might need to. More Than Enough is a slow-burn story about friendship, love, and finding the strength to stay true to yourself when the world around you seems determined to pull you in different directions.

Moira knows there has to be a reason why she was forced to leave Ireland after her father's drowning, and the secrets her mother keeps aren't calming her curiosity and desire to learn the truth. Her only link to the past is her best friend, Cillian, and even he has grown quiet as Moira's eighteenth birthday approaches. But when Cillian finally agrees to take her back to Ireland, and Moira sees the fierce waves and the seals that watch her from the rocks, the stories hidden from her suddenly begin to make sense. Her family has been feuding with the selkies, the seal people that surround the village, for years, causing the numerous drownings that lead her mother to fear the water so much. Moira can end the issue - she's supposed to marry a selkie prince once she's eighteen, forever tying her people with the seals. Moira has only just discovered the life hidden from her, and going to live with the seals would mean giving up the life she's always wanted to live. She doesn't want to give herself up to the sea. It will have to come for her.

Yet again, another story was written for a college fiction writing class. This one, however, is my baby and is hoping to be made into actual novel length. Enjoy the short and condensed version for now as I struggle my way through writer's block and why I decided to write a story about first generation children born of Irish immigrants in a city I've never been to who go to a country I've never been to and speak a language I do not. Uses of Celtic mythology are most likely inaccurate, along with the use of the Irish language. Will most likely add the chapters to this work when the chapters begin to actually become something. When Evan receives a message from a mysterious benefactor to steal a spear from some woman he didn't expect to run into someone who claims to protect his family. But when he finds out some odd things about not just his family, but also himself and his twin sister it's a miracle it all doesn't go out the window like these newfound powers he's acquired through a kiss.
