Two and a half years ago, Fox McCloud and the Star Fox team were sent to the totalitarian Federation of Super Earth and had to steal some of their secrets to escape their grasp. Now, the debt is due. General Brasch and the rest of Super Earth High Command, driven by xenophobic fury, unquestionable devotion, and trademark Super Earth fanaticism, have reopened the passage and unleashed the full, fanatical might of the S.E.A.F. and Helldiver battalions of Super Earth on the peaceful Lylat System. Corneria's technologically superior but numerically dwarfed forces-led by General Pepper, Colonel Bill Grey, and the refitted Cornerian Army, along with their former enemies in the form of the New Venomian Royal Empire under its Chancellor Dash Bowman-must fight a desperate holding war against an enemy that sees their own soldiers' lives as expendable, the lives and existence of aliens as inherently threatening, and Managed Democracy as absolute.
