But one day, Kuro begins behaving strangely, sending her messages without her prompting, and he says he wants to meet her in real life. Yuki replies, "I wish we could meet, but you're not real. Her eyes widen and her breath catches in her throat when she sees a figure standing in the shadows, holding a phone. The figure shifts, and she sees a faint grin on their face, lit up by the glow of the phone screen. A chill runs down her spine.
