    In the autumn of 1831, Cosette and Sybill Fauchelevent arrive with their father to a quiet house in the quiet French town of Saint-Michele. Both of the girls experienced traumatic events in their childhood years that shaped their attitudes towards the future yet the personalities of the adoptive siblings are oh so different. Everything changes when they are quite literally dragged to the Café Musain where they meet a group of young men who are determined to change the world. The girls capture the attention of a few certain individuals resulting in a few friendships...and more. However, problems arise when Sybill and the leader get into many heated debates about the progress of the nation. To assuage her anger, Sybill begins to write in secret a series of essays pamphlets about the revolution under a male's name which her father publishes for her in secret at the printing press. The pamphlets become the talk of small town especially around the revolutionaries much to her surprise. How do the girls react to the boys' plans? Will they have to flee to England with their father as was the original plan? Will the revolution succeed? How does Sybill fare with writing and arguing with the stubborn leader? Will they ever discover that a female is the one behind the heated essays about the overthrow of monarchy? And why is the leader someone who seems so familiar to the girl? || Based off of my original fic Les Misérables Revolution yet clearly a lot changed so that the characters and plot can be stronger than before ||

    How sweet it is to die for one's fatherland, or "Dulce Et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori," as said in the famous Latin poem by Wilfred Owen. Eponine, Courfeyrac, and Enjolras, three modern day teenagers who know little to nothing about war, find themselves caught up in a heart-wrenching battle of love, tears, and pain during their senior year of high school. Courfeyrac, a sweet, sensitive boy whose best friends happen to be the geniuses of the school, often feels overshadowed by Enjolras' good-looks and intellect. However, he finds solace in his good friend Eponine, whom he has secretly loved since the day he laid eyes upon her. Enjolras, an intelligent young man who yearns to join the army and die for his country, suddenly begins to lose focus on school when he realizes that he, too, has become taken with Eponine. What these boys do not know is that Eponine harbors a few secrets of her own, and her life is about to become more complicated than anyone could possibly have imagined. All three of them will have to learn the bittersweet taste that war and fighting bring, and soon they will all be called to make difficult choices and sacrifices. Will they give up on the battle of love? Or will they all learn how sweet it really is?

    ***ACCEPTING QUESTIONS!!!* "Good morrow, citizen. You can call me Enjolras. I'll be accepting any and all questions you have for any of the Les Amis. (This could probably be the worst idea of my ENTIRE life...) Let's keep it PG, please, for the sake of our dignity..." *Courfeyrac abruptly cuts in* - "What the Chief means is let's keep it clean, so all can enjoy our story. We will take your questions in our inbox and in the comments section of the story. We can't wait to hear your questions!" *Gavroche races in, excited* - "Lemme join! I migh' be a litt'le person, but I'm ready to go!" *Combeferre takes off his glasses and looks up* - "I have also received word from Jean Valjean, Cosette, Éponine, and others that they are willing to receive your questions! Start sending!" *Enjolras, in background, screaming* - "GRANTAIRE, PUT THAT BOTTLE DOWN!"

    "To love or have loved, that is enough. I'd wish for nothing else in this world." Marguerite stared at Marius in complete shock, her eyes scanned his face for a sign of flashing humor, she wished for a hint of flippancy. The young girl laughed breathlessly as realisation hit her, the infatuated fool wasn't joking in the least. Marguerite Boisvert did not have hope for love, she had hardly enough hope for living but yet she lived still, a punishment from a God who wouldn't let her die. Marguerite Boisvert however did have hope for a family, wished for one to hold her as she cried. What Marguerite Boisvert received instead was more than she had ever imagined. A revolution was coming, a new dawn would rise, a group which almost became historic will live on forever in the minds of those left behind.

    Cosette is a fictional character in the novel Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. Her birth name, Euphrasie, is only mentioned briefly. As the orphaned child of an unmarried mother deserted by her father, Hugo never gives her a surname. In the course of the novel, she is mistakenly identified as Ursule, Lark, or Mademoiselle Lanoire. She is the daughter of Fantine, who leaves her to be looked after by the Thénardiers, who exploit and victimise her. Rescued by Jean Valjean, who raises Cosette as if she were his own, she grows up in a convent school. She falls in love with Marius Pontmercy, a young lawyer. Valjean's struggle to protect her while disguising his past drives much of the plot until he recognizes "that this child had a right to know life before renouncing it"-and must yield to her romantic attachment to Marius. Jean Valjean is the protagonist of Victor Hugo's 1862 novel Les Misérables. Hugo depicts the character's 19-year-long struggle to lead a normal life after serving a prison sentence for stealing bread to feed his sister's children during a time of economic depression and various attempts to escape from prison. Valjean is also known in the novel as Monsieur Madeleine, Ultime Fauchelevent, Monsieur Leblanc, and Urbain Fabre. Valjean and Police Inspector Javert, who repeatedly encounters Valjean and attempts to return him to prison, have become archetypes in literary culture. In the popular imagination, the character of Jean Valjean came to represent both Hugo himself and leftist sentiment.

    "Don't put your trust in revolutions. They always come round again. That's why they're called revolutions. People die, and nothing changes." - Terry Pratchett, Night Watch A retelling of part of Les Miserables, from about 1828-1832. Élise was born into a decent, middle class family, but with her father's death and her brother drinking and gambling away his small inheritance, she moved to Paris, in hope of finding better prospects. With rents going up and wages going down, she eventually ends up living, and then almost dying on the streets, before being rescued by two young medical students. With an introduction to Les Amis de l'A.B.C., she finds the world opening up before her again, and discovers her place in it. Based primarily on Victor Hugo's novel, with some reference to the musical and the 2012 film. Some parts also inspired by Henry Mayhew's London Labour and the London Poor. I will confess myself to be more of a historian than an author, and as such, this book is primarily an attempt to bring some history into a retelling of the aspect of Les Miserables that seems to have captured so many people's imaginations - that is to say, the June Rebellion of 1832 and the lead up to it. {Enjolras x OC}
