There are ordinary citizens. And there are superheroes.
Maeve Whitlock is the latter. In fact, she is the number one in the world. Famous for her highly trained forcefield powers, Maeve (Super name 'Arcwall') has been a hero almost her entire life. She has grown up in the spotlight of the legendary Whitlock Academy, the hero institution that trains and deploys the top Supers to deal with crime and villainy. Her parents, Isadora and Alec Whitlock, now retired heroes run the academy. Their legendary hero work in the 80s to the 2000s is famous in modern history, and they intend for Maeve to continue this legacy.
It is a tightly-controlled, successful, rich and prestigious institution- but is it the right fit for Maeve? As se graduates highschool, she begins to wonder what her place is there.
At the same time, a young new assistant joins the academy- Naomi. Not a super, just an ordinary young woman traversing her life after uni. She and Maeve get off to a rocky start, but then Naomi begins to show Maeve that there may be more to life than the academy. As the story progresses, Maeve questions everything she once knew and prioritised in life...

The worldbuilding of this story is loosely inspired by 'The Incredibles' universe, i.e. with the main character having the superpowers of violet parr. It's mainly just based off vibes tho :D
