Saity is Tara millers, horse. Tara`s parents are out of state, for a horse show while Tara stays back at home. She is told to be the responsible one, and take care of the farmhouse, and animals. She and her best friend Natalie, are together the whole time, helping keep the farm in place. But when "help" is needed Tara falls in love, and forgets her responsibilities while her family is away. One of her most prized companions Saity, "Tara's horse" gets stricken with a disease known as Glanders. Glanders is a very deadly disease mainly found in horses, mules or donkeys. Tara not realizing this tragic event is in love.

"Just stay the hell away from me! You act like you know me so well, that you could see throw me like x-ray vision. But guess what?! You know nothing! No one knows!" My voice cracks at the end. I feel so weak and broken in front of his watch full eyes. Ever since he came here my life has taken a 360. He is slowly breaking down all my walls. Breaking me inside. Does he not realize I am already broken. Broken a long time ago, broke beyond repair. "How can a girl like you be so beautiful, but so broken all at once. I can see the pain your eyes hold. Sorrows that run so deep inside you. Demons fighting to control your mind. I can hear your always calm, slow intake of breath. Trying to always remain emotionless, empty, and plain. " he pauses and gazes up at me with a bewildered look. "You have faced so many things alone. Thing you refuse to speak of. I will never push to tell me. But i will push to help you." he says leaving me speechless. My mouth opening and closing like a fish, so he continues. "I cannot stand by and watch another person die slowly, day by day. I swear on his life, no matter how hard you push me away I will forever fight to help you in any way I can." Cody finishes. His eyes darken as he turns to the mountains around us. Why can he not realize is that I am to far gone I cannot be helped.
