Though, they do have Maisie as a bargaining for deals to get more money if they really got desperate. Maisie, while attending a social gathering garners the attention of the grand duke, ten years her senior. Though her parents are all too eager to sell her off to the man that's become enthralled with her.

Nobody is born to be evil, they are made. Syera Achilles, the sole Lady of Achilles house of County. Due to her parents sudden death the kind and sweet little girl became an ignorant and wicked lady. One fateful night, she was dragged to the palace for allegedly attempting to assassinate the crown princess. Just like that, she was killed on the spot the the man who she cherish and loved. It was quite unfortunate until she comes back to the past, with an oath to change hers and her family's fate. She pledge to kill the man who took her life along with the other people who brought doom to her family. But will she ever succeed of killing the man whom she loved?

I'm learning. It still hurts slightly, though.

The story takes place in Victorian Era where ladies are expected and told to wear the torturous corset. It's an era where ladies are objectified even their husbands view them as such. They are considered weak, naive and submissive and their value as a woman would only be recognized if they successfully bore a male heir into the family. Thus, ladies are deemed to be less important in the society. However, will this one lady be able to change the society's perspective?
