How sweet it is to die for one's fatherland, or "Dulce Et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori," as said in the famous Latin poem by Wilfred Owen. Eponine, Courfeyrac, and Enjolras, three modern day teenagers who know little to nothing about war, find themselves caught up in a heart-wrenching battle of love, tears, and pain during their senior year of high school. Courfeyrac, a sweet, sensitive boy whose best friends happen to be the geniuses of the school, often feels overshadowed by Enjolras' good-looks and intellect. However, he finds solace in his good friend Eponine, whom he has secretly loved since the day he laid eyes upon her. Enjolras, an intelligent young man who yearns to join the army and die for his country, suddenly begins to lose focus on school when he realizes that he, too, has become taken with Eponine. What these boys do not know is that Eponine harbors a few secrets of her own, and her life is about to become more complicated than anyone could possibly have imagined. All three of them will have to learn the bittersweet taste that war and fighting bring, and soon they will all be called to make difficult choices and sacrifices. Will they give up on the battle of love? Or will they all learn how sweet it really is?

Rayne is a street rat struggling to keep her brother and sister alive through the cold winter. When she rescues Enjolras, a quiet but severe and stern boy, she shows him to be himself and to use his words for good. Her quick wit and cunning tenacity will be of great use to the ABC Amis, and they will find they can't live on without her. All the discussions about revolution and republicanism seem to be only an idea. A great idea surely, but only in the minds of les Amis de l'ABC. This is the greatest fear of Enjolras; the people are tired and will not have the power to support a revolution. At least that was his fear until he heard a song, a song that filled him with hope -they were not alone. I do not own any of the characters (Amis) and all credits go to Victor Hugo. I do not own either the images. Basically I do not own anything except the story, but I think that's enough. That's actually not a classic y/n story. The y/n persona is mostly already constructed. But what I wished for this character, mademoiselle Claudel, was that every reader could add a personal missing part (that's the name, or personal characteristics that are not described by me) and really deepen into the feelings and the thoughts of the story's characters. You know, if she had a name she would be an already unchangeable, immobilized character like the ones in the novels. But she, I think is much more because a part of her belongs to the reader only. And the readers are unnumbered and so are the variations of the feelings and the thoughts a man can have. Still updating in this one! Please be patient mon amis! One day I'll finish it, promise...

In this story, I will write Les Miserables one-shots which are based in my mind on the colors Red and/or Black. They probably won't be long, and I certainly hope that they're good, or decent. Alexander (Alex for short) Apollo is Enjolras Apollo's younger sister, by 16 years. She is an alchemist, or as Courfeyrac likes to say 'a mini witch'. That gets on her nerves. Now 10 year old Alex tries her next experiment with the help of her brother-like friend Grantaire. And for once it goes right which is a surprise as Alex's projects often go wrong. But the boys have been turned into 5 year olds again. That means Alex and Grantaire now have to look after them. But Alex is slightly breaking down. She has tests, her 5 year old sister to look after, the boys that are now 5 and people questioning Enjolras having full custody over her. Not to mention the fact that she's practically invisible! After all, a 10 year old shouldn't go through that.
