Ever since the tragic shooting of his beloved fiancé Jennifer while she was reporting on an anti-immigration rally, twenty eight year old star reporter Leon Walker has spent the past month isolating in his apartment, binge drinking all day and making suicidal revenge plans against the alt-right group he holds responsible for his fiancé's death. Luckily for him his boss Harrison is about to offer Leon an opportunity to abandon his plans for revenge and cover a story about a Vietnam veteran about to be deported. Though he is reluctant to accept this assignment at first, Leon agrees to it after realizing it's the best way to carry on Jennifer's passion for objective and humanitarian journalism and to show those who wish to silence them that they won't be intimidated by violence. This was started for the 2020 National Novel Writing Month, but after a few days, I had a life-event that halted the progress. Here's what I've got so far, and I'll add to and edit it as time/motivation allows.
