She had to come up with the money somehow since her job as a professor didn't pay as much as she had hoped. That's when after school, when tutoring a student, she meets the world history professor, Kazuo Kudo. They become great friends throughout the weekend; now, she can fly back to her hometown to help convict her ex-boyfriend. Except Kazuo refuses to fly with her because trial rooms scare him. Two weeks go by, and they have already started to form a more than friends relationship until the dreadful day of the trial comes. When she arrives at the court, she sits there and testifies against her ex-boyfriend until mid-trial, new evidence shows up from a newfound home security camera.

This was started for the 2020 National Novel Writing Month, but after a few days, I had a life-event that halted the progress. Here's what I've got so far, and I'll add to and edit it as time/motivation allows.
