The historical Judas Kiss, though often reviled by believ-ers, played a vital role in the development of Christianity as we know it-allowing Christ to fulfill his purpose on the Cross of Calvary. Judas had good intentions, hoping to force Jesus to use his divine power to usher in the kingdom he promised his followers, sooner rather than later. Of course things didn't turn out the way Judas had hoped. Despite that setback, the prom-ise of Christianity was indeed realized over time. Perhaps the legal systems devised by man will never achieve the perfection of Divine Justice, certainly not in every case, but when the legal system falters it is important to shine a light on that darkness and deliver-A Judas Kiss to Justice. At the time this memoir was written (April, 2021) the con-viction of former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, for the murder of George Floyd, made global headlines. Did his incarceration equal Justice for Mr. Floyd and his family? This case was about so much more than the specifics of how case law should be applied. His conviction was about shaking the very foundation of the faults in the criminal justice system-Institutional Bias with respect to people of color and the poor.
