And Wren herself bears a face that doesn't quite belong in District 10 - pale eyes, sharp features, and a voice that makes strangers stop and stare. With the Reaping only a week away, Wren wants nothing more than to keep her head down, keep singing, and keep her family's fragile world from falling apart.

Post Canon Alternate Universe - Where Coriolanus Snow makes DIFFERENT choices...and those choices lead to a different future in Panem. Starts at the point in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes where Lucy Grey asks Coriolanus, "Who's the third?" - and he tells the truth. I wanted to explore the question that if Coriolanus Snow could change, what would that look like? In TBOSAS, he's always struggling morally with himself on what's "good/kind/selfless" or "ambitious/reputation/power". So I started a story about it. Very heavy focus on the psychological aspects of who he was in the Capitol, his internal struggles within himself, and how Lucy Gray Baird softens a hard-grown Capitol Boy. P.S. It's slow-burn, but the story really starts picking up in action around Ch. 11-12 after we've established our character & relationship developing. Some AU Details: The Covey are joining Lucy Gray and Coriolanus in their flight into the wilderness. I think it just works better if I have more interactions to work with. Hope you all agree! This is the story of what I believe happened to Lucy Grey after the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Obviously the ending was left to interpretation it's likely that if she got shot and was in the middle of the woods she probably would have died...unless she had help.
