A book for when I'm bored because why not? Will mostly be about HSMTMTS and probably some other stuff. Because Wattpad only allows 200 parts a book, this is my second Nonsense book. I decided on using a new cover so it was easier to tell which one was which.

When the lock down hit Canada, I thought I'd take time to post a poem each day, expecting the "15 days to flatten the curve" to end in, well, 15 days. Silly m e. My aim had been to add something to the social conversation in my little corner of IG (@andrewkooman). To laugh, to yell, to share what I needed to share, but amidst all of the fear and uncertainty, to add some beauty to it too. I loved seeing musicians, local and global, perform concerts and lift spirits in unique ways. So why not do that through writing. 80 days later, I had a compilation of visual poems that captured a sense of life in the pandemic, a collection of thoughts over time . So I thought I'd share that here.

The story centres around a group of teenagers and their life before and after it takes a drastic turn. A deadly virus spreads which leads to quarantine. All the best doctors and scientists have been working together to find a cure, yet are unsuccessful. Lockdown leads to no food production and famine, or in other words, people's worst nightmare - Hunger. As a result, unlawful raids start taking place all over the town and soon humanity as they know it, changes. People only have one thing on their mind - survival. The adolescents escape together and learn to survive on their own. While becoming fighters, and competing with others to find the cure, some of them unknowingly fall in love with each other. Would that give them the closure they seek or would that lead to their own doom? The stunning cover is made by the wonderful @ttessazz

The nation came to a standstill when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a complete lockdown of India on March 25, 2020, to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the lockdown was unavoidable in order to flatten the rising curve of COVID-19, it also unlocked angst and hopelessness in many ways. Thousands of people lost access to income, resources and daily meals. On the other hand, many quarantined people, patients and medical staff found their mobility to be restricted and as a result they were unable to avail necessary essential requirements. While the government continued to uplift the morale of the country, several leading food NGOs in India like Annamrita Foundation came upfront to relieve this sheer sense of helplessness and distress. As a leading food NGO in India that serves mid-day meals to municipal schools, Annamrita Foundation decided to leverage its kitchens across the nation to deliver warm and hygienic meals to those suffering in the lockdown. Through the Karuna Program initiated by Annamrita Foundation, the ongoing hunger crisis generated due to the COVID-19 pandemic was curtailed as daily wage earners, migrants, hospital staff, frontline workers and patients received wholesome nutritious food for 7 days in a week through the following 3 programs - Municipal staff feeding program This program initiated by Annamrita Foundation has strengthened the framework of hope by including meals for people dedicatedly serving in departments of Solid Waste Management, Maintenance, Public Health, Water, Social Justice, and Disaster Management. Hospital health staff feeding program As one of the leading food NGOs in India, Annamrita has also started serving meals to hospitals in Mumbai for all the health care staff including doctors, nurses, assistant staff, pathology staff, and office assistants.
