Anja Serafin is stuck at being 17. After almost four years of full-time confinement at home due to pandemic. Now that the lockdown is no longer enforced in their community she is having trouble reconnecting and continuing her life outside the four corners of her comfort zone. Her last role she remembered was her being a twelfth grader applying for multiple university admissions. Without doubt, the world did not ever stop revolving, and her present-time return is supposedly about entering her fourth year in college. Anja knew she couldn't just simply take up where she left off. When she feels like her clock has an obvious time jump from pre-pandemic to post-pandemic. She is still adjusting to what is in front of her and preparing for what is ahead of her. While also trying to understand what happened during the time her timeline appeared to skip. She has to take steps to live her life, and the only allowable direction is moving forward. The first step for Anja to make things happen is acceptance. Truly easier said than done, as it will also get her tangled up in being a mother to a five-year-old boy.

I have decided to write a poem a day describing how I am feeling, what I did that day, and/or my main thoughts revolving the day for the duration of my quarantine. This will go through a world win of emotions and there will probably just be straight up rants thrown in there. This surves mostly as a journal for me so I dont loose my poems. Just a background for anyone who decided to read it I have really bad lungs so I have been for the most part shut into my homes. This is mostly for me so I can document it but if someone for some reason does decide to read I hope you enjoy them. Also just a warning I have depression and anxiety and tend to have suicidal thoughts so that will more than likely make it into at least a few of these. Hope y'all are staying safe.

|| A True Story || - My Tower Hill @Home Time Capsule Sometimes bad things happen in our world, but it is inevitable. Everything happens for a reason. It is simply a balance of the dichotomy: good and bad. That is how our lives work; most of the time, no one has a choice. We have to learn how to cope and deal with it. Lockdown obliges two office workers to ask: where or what is home, when you have to stay there? * The setting is a fictional version of the UK's East Midlands region. * I know that many people are having a really shit time at the moment, so I hope this is a way of acknowledging the current situation without being too heavy-handed, and maybe even cheers someone up. Although there is a potentially quite serious situation described, I hope the light way it's treated doesn't offend anyone, or imply that I'm not taking it seriously. I've tried to stay very conscious of the public health advice, as it was in the UK at the period covered. This basically came down to: Stay At Home (if you possibly can). Written May/June 2020
