Swept to a magical land by a tornado, Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto, must find their way back home to Kansas. Along the challenging adventure, they make three new friends who are each searching for their own hearts desire. The friends encounter many obstacles along the way, including a vengeful Wicked Witch and other strange and interesting creatures that live in the land, all while learning more about themselves in the process. Loosely based off the book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a 1900 children's novel written by author L. Frank Baum and illustrated by W. W. Denslow. It is the first novel in my version of the Oz series of books. *** The first tale in my adaption of the fantastical Oz series by L. Frank Baum. My adaptation of Baum's first book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," remains faithful to the original narrative structure, while introducing captivating modifications to the storyline, origins of certain characters, and the fusion of select chapters. In crafting this rendition, I sought to pay homage to the rich tapestry of Oz adaptations that have graced our screens over the years. Notably, I drew inspiration from the iconic 1939 MGM classic and its enchanting Disney 1985 semi-Sequel, "Return to Oz," as well as the beloved "Wicked" series, SyFy's enthralling "Tin Man" miniseries from 2007, Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), and the captivating Oz episodes of "Once Upon a Time." To breathe life into the pages, I decided to create live-action illustrations for the book. I used a mix of the MGM Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz (1985), and other Oz adaptations to create the visuals.

Based on the 1986s "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". After the Great triumph over the Nome army, the wonderful leaders finally bring peace and happiness to all of Oz and enjoy life as well. But all sudden, The Scarecrow and the Tinman, who are now rulers of the Winkies and Best Friends, started to get this strange feeling more every time they've spent together and wondered if it's a friendship or something more than a Best friend Relationship? Would this new feeling get them closer or it is going to tear them apart forever...?

This is an encounter between Dorothy and the Scarecrow after the melting of the Wicked Witch of the West. It is a Wicked fanfic. Ok so my inspiration for this comes from a book I read in middle school called The Land of Stories. Basically the main character, Alex, has a dream where she meets her childhood fantasy heroes: Wendy Darling, Lucy Pevensie, Alice (from Wonderland), and Dorothy Gale. Alex has this vision because she is internally conflicted about killing the bad guy. The four characters encourage her, and something that always stuck with me is that Dorothy tells Alex that she always felt guilty for killing the Wicked Witch of the West, even though it was an accident. The premise of this fanfic is that immediately after the events in the castle, as the gang is returning to the Wizard, Dorothy is visibly upset by what occurred. The Scarecrow attempts to cheer her up. This fanfic is inspired by Wicked. There are no spoilers for Act I or II, but I will include an epilogue at the end with spoilers for the whole play. I will imply some things about the play, but nothing is directly referenced. Also there are spoilers for the Wizard of Oz, obviously. Cover Photo credit goes to Universal Studios.

But when she gets to the University of Oz, she realizes city life is very different from the middle of nowhere. For the first time, Dorothy witnesses discrimination in her own classroom. Will she be able help a football player who is always mistaken as a brute with no heart, a gay guy who is thought to be a coward, and a blonde who is thought to be brainless? Will Dorothy be able put these stereotypes to an end with just one writing assignment? Probably not, but she sure as hell can try.
