She stood between him and the town, with an expression he couldn't read. Hiccup recognized the gun- it was one from the ranch. But the woman was not a town resident. Even with her long, blonde locks pulled back in a tight braid, stray hair fell into her striking blue eyes. Her skin, once fair and pale, was now sun-kissed. Her blue skirt billowed in the breeze. She pushed back her beige brimmed hat and widened her eyes at him. "...Hiccup?" Hiccup's eyes widened in recognition, and he returned her dumbfounded expression.
