A spinff of Cradle by Will Wight. All of this is my personal headcannon and does not translate to the official Cradle series. I will also be referencing personal Cradle creations as well so somethings will not immediately make sense. This story does do not a good job of explaining the power system of this world, so many things will not make sense to those who have not read the Cradle series. This story takes place before the events of Cradle, somewhere to the southwest of the Sacred Valley

Penshaw, Missouri, formerly the kingdom of Cradle Bay, is a town steeped in a history both majestic and tragic. Once a thriving society of shapeshifting wolves, the Crimson Mystic Pack called this land their own. Legend holds that the curse can only be broken by a sacrifice: the willing shedding of blood from a specific bloodline onto the land during the rare appearance of the Ophelia Comet. Hope seems distant, a mere whisper in the wind, until a newcomer arrives in town: Odessa Hayes. Her presence, unbeknownst to most, may hold the key to unlocking the past and restoring the Crimson Mystic Pack to its former glory.
