Y/n has always been the quiet orphan-too soft, too heavy, too easy to overlook. At Playtime Co., the only ones who ever made her feel wanted were the Smiling Critters... and Dogday, the sunshine that kept her alive when her own heart couldn't. But during the Hour of Joy, everything rots. Dragged deep below into the Prototype's territory, Y/n is trapped with the other orphans-until the red gas meant to erase them... doesn't. She wakes up. Alone. Breathing. And if the factory wants her silent, it picked the wrong girl-because she's getting out... and she's finding Dogday. Even if she has to tear the dark open with her bare hands. With the help of new ally's, and the horror of enemies, Y/n will not give up to find Dogday and the other smiling critters, and maybe put a stop to Playtime Co overall. WARNING: I do not own Poppy Playtime, it's characters and Story, they belong to the characters. This is purely Fanfiction, none of the stuff I'm writing has happened in the game that involves Y/n, the Smiling Critters, or in the whole Playtime Co over all. PROLOG Catnap yawned. It was another tiring day at school, so he lay down on his bed. Mrs Delight gave them a test today about Science. Catnap hated it. But as he walked inside, Catnap froze. His house was a mess. "...Hello?" Catnap called out. He walked inside hesitantly. Waiting to use his red gas if needed. But then, he saw a note. With a poppy flower drawing on the front. "What's this?" Catnap asked himself as he opened the note. WAKE UP. The note read. Showing a drawing of a young boy sitting on his bed. A hand climbing out from underneath. "What the-?! Who would ever make this!?" Catnap balled the note, stomping towards the kitchen. He looked around. KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK. Catnap jumped. He looked at the window and- END OF PROLOG. Hope you enjoy! Catnap stops showing up to class. Or games. He starts avoiding everyone, and spends more time in the forest. What is he hiding?

CraftyCorn the artist. PickyPiggy the chef. Bobby Bearhug the therapist. There has always been 3 boys and 4 girls. They always easily outvote the boys whenever they want to do something different. One day a construction crew appears in the neighborhood and builds a new house that resembles a scratching post for a cat. Then a moving truck comes and puts boxes in the home. It's been 3 weeks and no sign of the new addition to the neighborhood. Everyone is getting impatient especially DogDay.
