[Based off of the movie of The Scorch Trials so if you haven't watched the movie don't read until you have] Katherine, also known as Kate, never knew that the end of the human race was actually going to happen. She was only focused on school, family, friends, and teenage problems. The day the solar flares hit changed her whole being. Her mindset was now focused on surviving with the rest of her family through the heat, famine, chaos, and disease. The chance of actual survival were slim even after years of fighting. Only some of Kate's family made it through the years. From the five family members, her brother, James, and herself have made it to what is known as The Scorch. Of course, whatever is brewing there is a complete mystery to them considering that they haven't been in contact with any of the great organizations of the world. James takes it upon himself to lead his little sister and do whatever it takes to keep her alive no matter the cost. When they come across one strange looking high tech base in the middle of a barren wasteland, James becomes curious of the unknown. With unfortuate events and breaking news, they meet a group of unique teenagers that drag Kate into the wonderful mess of WICKED's plans. Will Kate find trust in the strange boys who say they are good people? Will she choose to stay with them or will she vencher off like a vulture in search of a hopeless happy life? But most importantly, will she break? ----------------------------------------- I randomly thought of this idea and decided that I really wanted to write a story that starts off in The Scorch. I am still trying to find other pieces to this puzzle so it'll sound good, but so far I have a really good beginning. Idk if this will be a romance story since Kate is going to be rather young, but if you want her to have a love interest then that is totally fine with me ;) It would be better if you tell me sooner than later. I'll make a cover soon, too. I hope you enjoy this story :D

I Thought I could live my life. But I was wrong. I caught the flare. It was too late for me, I was slowly going crazy and there was nothing anyone could do about it. I was going to die. Die from going crazy. ***************************************************************************** This is fan fiction for the maze runner but it doesn't have anyone from the maze runner. This story is about a girl that has caught the flare and her journey to crazy town.

The group has already gone so far. From the group of over fifty now, only eight are left. Taken to a facility where they are promised safety, but it isn't all how it looks like. The group needs to get out of there as fast as they can to escape the hands of WICKED. But will all of them make it? There is a long way before them, with many obstacles and new people, and new truths get discovered. Will this break the group apart or will they still continue strong. I do suck at description...I promise the story isn't as bad as it sounds.😅
