Once the Regressors were made the world slowly went back to old ways. Women went back to only being able to housewives, and if not married had to work in the streets doing something until someone would marry them. The laws on drinking age went down because there was barely any water left, leaving children to be allowed to drink again so they wouldn't completely die of thirst. Scared the Regressors would try to rebel, the Prosperous (A council that is run by the head scientist and those who are gaining the most wealth throughout the districts) had decided to run the Regressors and force them underground but were still called upon when needed. Any Regressor caught above without authorization will face an immediate execution. The process for Regressors is that they are wiped of their memories unless they hold special roles like they were made to preserve a body of a loved one or will be holding a special role. Everyone was sorted into different "blocks" (blocked off districts) to ensure control over by different leaders. District one being controlled by the apprentice of the one who started this all (Dr. Ramirez) that has shown the most promise being that she is the smartest of all the prosperous which is where our main character Ibuki lives. The other blocks are all ruled differently, some went crazy years ago and destroyed their blocks leaving the leaders after them to rebuild. There were even some that took the titles of previous leaders that had ruled before. There are only five of the original leaders left (there are 57 districts) and they rein over all important parts of the blocks. The main character, Itasu, is a regressor who has discovered how to regain every memory of regressors pervious life.
