And then silence. Rough hands. A cloth. Darkness, real and suffocating. When she awoke, she was no longer in Midgard. She was surrounded by thrones. Statues that breathed. Eyes that shimmered with stars and cruelty. The gods were real. And she was being sold. At the end of the aisle stood Hades, the brother of Poseidon and Zeus, cloaked in white and authority.
