My youth was in green. Green trees, grass-stained kneecaps, frogs in the summertime. It's a strange time to look back on. It begs for nostalgia but keeps itself distant from the present. Reminiscing often feels otherworldly, as if someone else lived through your memories and you can only watch them fade into the past. Here are some essays and prose poems reflecting on childhood memories and exploring personal growth.

Generosity is not just feeding the hungry right off the bat! We are living under a generational curse-scarcity. Our minds are conditioned to operate based on a selfish- herd principle, wherein as if in a reflex, we put our own personal interests first, then the surplus, if hardly there is any, would be subsidized to share to the church and to the people. CERTAINLY, in the present time, war and its accompanying grief, is a smaller threat compared to our modern monster: APATHY. My goal is to help you renew your mind pattern to see generosity in a different light. That to help other people is not a part- time job; Nor to serve the LORD is an addition to your life but the source of life itself! Generosity rises from the glorious riches that the LORD has provided to us. The question is, are you aware? It is time to step out from the lukewarm faith. Deep calls deep! The season of watching from the backseat has ended; a new spring has come! Participate! Drive the steering wheel! And if you don't know how, There is a book for that.

"In many cases a true war story can not be believed. If you believe it be skeptical. It's a question of credibility. Often the crazy stuff is true and the normal stuff isn't, because the normal stuff is necessary to make you believe the truly incredible craziness. " -Tim O'Brien, The Things They Carried

I've always been a huge proponent of dream interpretation. My college major in psychology mixed with my belief in a multidimensional reality has led to me be a quick study of dream meanings for both myself and others. I believe that the feelings you go to sleep with create stories wrapped around them, like bacon around a scallop, to delve further into that original feeling or to find ways for you to work around or through it. Have you ever noticed how you may go to sleep feeling one way and then wake up feeling something different? The term "sleeping on it," I believe, has more power than you might think. That said, my recent dreams have been so real, so vivid, with cinema-like quality and riddled messages that even I cannot grasp their twisted meanings. I want you to know, however, that I'm not a psycho in everyday life. You see, I call myself a hopeless optimist. Friends and family say I view the world in "rose-colored glasses," and I cry at probably every Pampers commercial I watch. But when the sun sets and I fall asleep, it seems like every dark thought, emotion, and hauntingly thrilling story that I've pushed outside of my conscious realm comes back to haunt (or balance) me. Here are some of the most twisted, freaky, and horror-filled dreams that I'm frankly embarrassed my optimist's mind has concocted.
