~ This memoir chronicles the journey of Mia Z. Edwards, exploring the significant places and influential figures that have shaped her life. From the housing projects of Southeast Washington, D.C., where the strength of her mother served as a profound foundation, to the wisdom of neighborhood matriarchs. Mia navigates heartbreak and demonstrates remarkable resilience in her pursuit of employment on Capitol Hill, despite having only a high school education and no prior job experience. She sought spiritual healing after experiencing a traumatic betrayal, confronted the challenges of working within the government, and prepared mentally for two transformative years of travel on behalf of the U.S. government. The culmination of these experiences empowered her to become an indispensable office secretary to high-ranking government officials, contributing to the emergence of her captivating storytelling voice. Crafted through poignant vignettes, the narrative reveals one truth at a time, structured in six parts: Foundations, Networking, Betrayal, The Tyrant Boss, Business Travels, and Secretarial Diaries. ~ Updates on weekdays. ~ Image Credit: Canva

my name is basha. i am a pembroke welsh corgi and i live with the author. this is my honest account of that experience. i have opinions about bread, the aircon temperature, delivery packages, and a fictional korean man named eun woo who has never once given me anything but somehow lives here anyway. i also have opinions about writing, late nights, deleted chapters, and what it means to love someone who is always somewhere else in their head. these are my notes. updated whenever something important happens, which is often, because i am very alert. - basha

My Wife is My Kryptonite I've survived Everest's death zone, crossed the Sahara on foot, and stared down a bear in the Amazon. But nothing - nothing - prepared me for marriage. From forgotten anniversaries that feel like avalanches, to the arctic silence of the "cold shoulder," and the terrifying mystery of the kitchen drawer that swallows chargers whole - my wife has turned our home into the ultimate survival challenge. This is not a love story. This is a field report from the front lines of marriage. Equal parts hilarious, brutally honest, and surprisingly tender, these stories follow a battle-hardened adventurer as he discovers that the most dangerous and beautiful terrain he's ever faced is the woman he married. Because sometimes the person who can destroy you with one softly spoken "Fine" is also the only one worth staying for. 📖 READING STATUS: If you've ever loved someone who drives you crazy... If you've ever laughed through the chaos of marriage... This one's for you. Welcome to the longest, most absurd, and most worth-it expedition of my life.

*** Maybe she was never meant to be anything but alone. Beause alone, she was. Until the day she found her. A soul dressed in fur, who chose her. Out of everyone, she chose her. Maybe she saw the broken soul, or the desire to be better. Maybe she smelled the guilt, and wanted to share the burden. Maybe she understood that she was the only one who could stop her. Whatever this creature understood was the reason she never left... *** Creative non-fiction about life, dogs and her

This is a collection about overlooked things, slow truths, and the strange possibility that the world has been trying to teach its lessons all along. There are no grand declarations, only the persistent suggestion that the land has always been speaking, and that wisdom has never belonged exclusively to people. This collection has no direct theme to it. (Creative writing and philosophy)

In our lives, we sometimes encounter situations that affect us and become part of our personal growth and the goal by which we develop ourselves. Sometimes words can be hurtful, especially if we are in childhood.

And for long I've searched and yearned earnestly for peace, but it always felt as if the moment I walk through my door, something more like a force field stops it from coming in with me, but I held on with faith that one-day.. I'll embrace peace with everything inside of me"

What begins as a search for the perfect air fryer becomes an unexpected journey into memory. Six years after dismissing the idea of owning one, a man finds himself awake before dawn, comparing reviews, reading manuals, and smiling at a dream he once thought belonged to someone else. But this is not a story about an appliance. It is a story about firsts. The first things we buy for ourselves. The first dreams we refuse to abandon. The first signs that survival is no longer the only story we know. Tender, reflective, and deeply personal, My First Air Fryer is a celebration of growth, healing, and the quiet victories that often go unnoticed. Because sometimes the smallest purchases carry the biggest memories.

The 10-novel Okal Rel Saga was originally published between 2003 and 2014 by EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy, a Calgary-based publisher. During my days as a traditionally published author, the "Okal Rel phenomenon" referred to how the Okal Rel Universe drew people in as participants. The whole experience was an alternative reality that evolved with me, from childhood through my published author phase. I've very seriously considered giving up on it all in my old age, only to discover it might just be my coping mechanism for processing the world, or maybe just for brightening my days. I just never "grew out" of the make-believing phase. In this story, on Wattpad, I will share chapters from that history which is a story in itself.

Creative Writing and Architecture are not as different as they may appear. These fields aren't introduced to each other as complementary creative fields. In this book, Creative Writing Vs. Architecture discussed topics to analyse whether these two fields are truly different? If so, how? Or maybe they are quite similar in ways no one thought of. Are you ready to embrace your creative self in the "most optimum" way?

My Personal life blog/story. To be honest I didn't know what to call my writing, a blog or a story. since it draws a line between fiction and realism, I'll refer to it as a blog. In a sad reality and truth, all this might be the result of chronic overthinking but I don't want to think that believing in my creativity is wrong so.. it is nothing but brainstorming.
