There are a lot of people from all over the world who views America as a really good country(Of course not everyone). But their view is mostly based on what America has to offer such as the opportunities that exists here. But to us Americans.... I won't speak for all of us but most of us knows for a fact that America isn't hardly great. It's not even close.

If poetry wasn't meant to be felt then why does every word hit your chest as if you re-lived a certain moment? If poetry wasn't made to be relatable then why does every line feel so close as if you wrote the piece yourself? We've all been there and we've all felt that, and best believe we're about to go back and end up doing it again.

Monica never wanted to be brave - only to be left in peace with her grief. But when her father dies in the line of duty, and her mother begins to crumble, Monica has no choice. She becomes the anchor. The provider. The silence in place of mourning. By seventeen, she's juggling jobs, saving for college, and writing stories at night just to feel alive. Until the mask she wears becomes too heavy - and strange thoughts begin to surface: What if life as a boy would be easier? Safer? Less fragile? That's when Hayase appears - a quiet, observant cat who speaks with her voice. But Hayase isn't just a visitor. It's the name Monica once gave herself. A secret pseudonym. A second self. What begins as a conversation turns into a quiet unraveling of identity, memory, and the courage to be whole again. Some souls are born in-between. And some... must choose where they belong.

I think very deep. I play with words. And, I write it down. This work is my own collection of my original poems. These poems speak for myself and I think, to others who also think the way I am.

The first word that people always choose to describe black women is "strong" which is true. However, we're not always strong. We're often expected to keep a smile on our face even when we're so busy struggling with carrying the world on our shoulders. Literally. We're not expected to have any kind of reactions. Or feelings. But we can only play the "superwoman" role for so long. Eventually we'll breakdown. Due to so many things that are already breaking us down.

There are just people who doesn't seem to understand the true power of a bullet. They don't realize all that they really do once they pull a trigger. All they care about Is hurting someone within that moment. They never think about the many people that they'll hurt by making such a terrible decision.
