Logan is a local college student. After too many late nights to count, his friends decide to take him to a play to wind down. During the show, he can't take his eyes off the main character. His voice was of that of an angel. Only problem is, his face is covered throughout the performance. "Heyyyy. Need anything, dear bro bro?" Remus said mockingly, batting his eyelashes despite the fact that Roman couldn't see him. In response, he heard a sigh. "Actually, uh, yes." Roman said, looking down at the snow beneath his feet. He already knew this was a bad idea. "Oh? Do tell." Remus shifted himself on his sofa, grinning. If Roman needed his help with something, he sure as hell can be an asshole about it. "Well... I locked myself out of my house."

One day, Virgil will understand that he deserves so much better than anything Roman could provide. This alone is what gives Roman the strength to end it all. Hopefully, the others won't grieve for too long: the last thing he wants is for his untimely end, his final gift to Virgil, to cause yet another crippling inconvenience to those he loves. Virgil Iris, an angsty, anxiety filled, bad boy teen is dealing with issues at home. To get away from these issues, Virgil gets himself into detention almost every day. One of those days another kid, Roman Lovehart, a super popular jock, got into detention. Both him and Virgil hate each other a whole bunch, and have a miserable time together during detention. Then, after a few unfortunate events, they learn that they find each others' company to be comforting.

The Light and Dark Mind Palaces don't talk with each other. They have no reason to. Until a message appears from The Dark Mind Palace. Patton sees it, his curiosity getting the better of him. He starts replying to the message more and more until he realizes, the side he's talking to is in danger!
